Role Overview:
Product design and development, from concept through to production.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Project management responsibility during development stages.
• Hands on prototype manufacture, including new materials and tools trials.
• Supply chain introduction and planning.
• Setting up, monitoring and streamlining BoM’s.
• Setting up, monitoring and updating production plans and procedures.
• Customer interface and production integration.
• Progress reporting to management team.
• Process improvement support.
Key Characteristics:
• Proficient in the use of CATIA V5 or SolidWorks
• Ideally candidates should have a minimum of 4 years Design Experience
• Good communicator at all levels.
• Firm desire to drive improvement and development through the business.
• A commitment to and understanding of lean manufacture and cost efficiency principles.
• Self motivation.
• Able to work as part of a team or alone.
