Our client is a global leader in the development and supply of specialist products. With extensive networks across Europe, Middle East and Africa and production sites across Europe an excellent opportunity for an experienced logistics professional has arisen to join this blue chip organisation.
Job Description
Based in Gateshead, this role will be responsible for the management of third party logistics suppliers throughout European markets. You will be required to maintain and manage these contracts and work with suppliers to develop new relationships and implement improvements.
Candidate Description
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified with a demonstrable track record in logistics, preferably with experience within European or global roles. Knowledge of working within high volume production would be advantageous as would be a record of working closely with third party service providers. Excellent communication techniques and data analysis skills with a keen attention to detail will be essential for this individual to succeed. Due to the on-going expansion of the organisation this role is seen as a key development role and it is anticipated that the successful candidate will have the ability to progress into a wider logistics role within the business in the future.
