Based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, my client designs and manufactures complete engineering systems including, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, electronic and control systems for the Oil & Gas, Renewable, Telecoms and Mining markets.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Operations Director, this newly created Quality Manager role will be required to take responsibility and accountability for the management, maintenance and continuous improvement of the company’s quality system. The role is critical to the company and will be required to work across the organisation to influence and lead compliance and improvement to develop quality as an integral part of the company’s culture and behaviour.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and qualities:
-Degree level qualified or equivalent; ideally within a quality systems, engineering or technical discipline
-Membership of Institute of Quality Assurance (IQA) preferred
-Demonstrable track record of Quality Management ideally within a production engineering assembly environment, including auditing technical and knowledge of quality management standards (ISO 9001)
-Ability to influence and manage behavioural change within an organisation
-Comfortable challenging existing techniques and processes
-Skilled in modern manufacturing techniques and capable of analysing business processes through value mapping
-Excellent communication skills and high level of commercial acumen and customer focus
