My client based in Newcastle upon Tyne is urgently requiring a Logistics Administrator to work for the UK's fastest growing, most customer focused, electric motor and generator service company. This is a new position to meet increased customer demand following the acquisition of major new contracts. You will report to the Work Planning and Logistics Coordinator. Job Description
-Booking new jobs onto the system
-Administration support
-Raising orders
-Working to and managing budgets
-Daily coordination of shipping and transportation process
-Obtain quotes and raise purchase orders for supply of logistics services
-Query handling
-Maintain accurate records
-Develop and maintain good working relationships internally
-Develop good working relationships with customers and suppliers
-Deputise for the Work Planning and Logistics Coordinator when required
Person Specification
You must possess strong communication skills, with an ability to deal with people at all levels, excellent customer service skills and good IT skills. Confidence in dealing with in dealing with people, an interest in Engineering and previous experience within a similar environment or stock control is desirable.
