My client is a market leader within the hospital services industry. They are currently looking for a mechanical engineering officer who is time served mechanically and has previous supervisory/management experience. If this sounds like you then please read on...
THE ROLE
* responsible for the planning and supervision of the day to day operational maintenance and repair of all mechanical engineering plant
* Manage the engineering supervisors
* Prepares specifications for minor new works and updates drawings
* Prepare specification for maintenance and equipment/ plant replacement as identified in the annual programme
* Develop and test contingency plans for mechanical services and Prepares plant and equipment for statutory inspection
* Manages water treatment programme for LTHW and chilled water systems
* Prepares specification and manages medical gas maintenance in accordance with HTM 2022
* Coordinate medical gas service interruptions and commissioning programmes ensuring minimal disruptions
* Manages pharmacy clean room maintenance in accordance with medicine inspections requirements
* Manages statutory testing of Lev equipment and ventilation systems
* Carry out Authorised person duties as required (HV/LV, MGPS, BPU boilers & pressure vessels confined spaces) Target tradesmen training needs and implement new programmes
* Review maintenance history trend analysis with Engineering and Building Services Manager
THE PERSON
* Must be time served in a mechanical discipline (HNC in mechanical engineering minimum) and have established supervisory/management experience
* Able to produce statistical graphs for analysis and have a good knowledge of H & S within a hospital environment
* Able to demonstrate a knowledge of workshop safety and statutory legislation
* Flexible to work shifts to meet the needs of the department and work on-call rota
THE PACKAGE
* £28,000 - £30,000 basic
* Dayshift
* 9 - 5, Monday - Friday
* 28 days inc. stats
* Stakeholder Pension
