An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Financial Services and Systems Accountant to work for this large organisation.
Reporting to the Financial Accountant, your duties will be as follows:
• Responsible for leading the design and development of business orientated finance systems
• Researching and initiating potential improvements
• Working with colleagues to identify required system improvements and developments
• Implementing system changes for the finance department
• Planning and prioritising own workload and that of the Payroll Officer
• Planning all systems developments in line with project management
• Development and review of operational plans and timetables
• Assisting in more efficient use of the SAGE accounting and workflow systems
• Reviewing guidance on employee tax matters to be provided to HR and staff
• Manage negotiations with HM Revenue and Customs on expenses and benefits dispensations
• Completion of all regular and ad-hoc financial reports
You will have a good knowledge of employee tax matters, VAT, CIS, debt management, purchase and sales ledger processes and relevant legislation.
You will have experience of working in a heavily deadline driven role within a highly regulated environment. You will have a high degree of systems literacy and be either a full or part qualified accountant.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong project management, prioritisation and time management skills and be able to work to tight deadlines.
