Our client is a leading global manufacturer of chemicals for a variety of industries including plastics, automotive, aviation, personal care, and packaging. We are now seeking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer for site maintenance and project works.
You will ensure that all engineering operations are carried out safely by all staff (in house and contractors) in accordance with defined procedures and in compliance with safety and environmental standards, assist in the auditing of engineering systems to ensure compliance to site and regulatory standards. You will co-ordinate the planning and organising of resources and materials to carry out required maintenance and repair work, ensure that the planned maintenance regime strategy is effectively implemented, and proactively generate ideas for improving equipment reliability and reduce plant downtime.
Candidates will ideally be educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering (preferably chartered) and be able to demonstrate extensive previous experience of working in the petrochemical or pharmaceutical sectors at a senior level.
