Our client is a market leader within the transmission and distribution sectors, they are currently looking for an Engineering Manager to join there prestigious team. THE ROLE
* Responsible for the development, management and performance of the services engineering function to time and budget. To include all product design, primary and secondary application engineering and the support of future portfolio development activities
* Delivery of necessary engineering required to satisfy the Services Business contractual commitments.
* Liase with other engineering teams within company to ensure a consistent core skill base and a benchmarked reward policy
* Liaison with and influencing of Stammhaus in relevant technology areas.
* Development and optimisation of engineering procedures to ensure best practice culture is achieved and Services becomes 'best in class'.
* Development and coaching of the engineering personnel in the Services business whilst liasing with universities and professional institutions
* Manage a Service Engineering Budget to agreed targets
* Manage a Top+ programme within the Service Engineering Business, production of a monthly report in a balance score card format.
THE PERSON
* The ideal candidate will have a degree/HND in electrical or mechanical engineering
* Chartered Engineering status would be preferable
* Will ideally have extensive experience in a recognised management role with more experience overall in the electrical industry
* Must be fully conversant with the latest transmission and distribution standards and technologies]
* Will have experience in the implementation of process improvement/culture change programmes
* Experience of liasing with professional bodies
* Must have experience of standards applicable to both UK and Int'l markets
