Our client is a market leader within the transmission and distribution sectors, they are currently looking for a Product Services Project Engineer to join there prestigious team. If you have previous project management experience involving manufacture & Installation of HV/MV switchgear then this could be the position for you...
THE ROLE
* Responsible for the delivery of HV/MV switchgear related projects on time, to quality and budget
* Usually responsible for between 20 - 30 projects for supply, refurbishment, repair and installation of HV/MV switchgear. Often under emergency conditions
* Responsible for preparation and circulation of all project related commercial and technical instructions
* Perform visits to site to conduct initial surveys and customer project reviews
* Provide effective cost control for each project and maintain customer relationships to achieve long-term retention
* Provide support for the preparation of tenders for the supply, refurbishment, repairs and installation of HV/MV switchgear
THE PERSON
* The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an HNC in a relevant engineering discipline
* Experience of managing projects involving manufacture & installation of HV/MV Switchgear is essential
* Must have awareness of commercial/contractual issues involving HV/MV projects as well as knowledge of HV/MV switchgear or protection & control systems
* A knowledge of civil/construction type activities and CDM regulations/Current H & S Legislation & Risk Management processes are also desirable
* A knowledge of MS Office and MS project is essential
