Our client is involved in the design and manufacture of an innovative and diverse mechanical product portfolio.
Job Description
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, they are currently looking to recruit a design engineer with strong ProE/ Wildfire skills to provide engineering design and support for their product range.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce quality engineering solutions to market and management requirements.
- Generation of design concepts that deliver best quality cost and delivery within time scales.
- Use of scientific methods to solve thermodynamic mechanical and material strength problems.
- Production of engineering models and drawings using CAD systems.
- Production of bills of materials and production engineering support data to achieve design intent.
- To formulate testing and documentation to achieve market place product acceptance.
- To aid in physical build of prototype products and supervise activity to achieve design intent.
Candidate Description
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Good working knowledge of ProE CAD system
- Significant experience in the mechanical design engineering field.
- Have a good working knowledge of hydraulic and automotive systems.
- Have an appreciation of electrical and electronic systems
- Knowledge and regular use of common computer based IT systems
- Excellent general mechanical aptitude.
- Recognised engineering education to a minimum of diploma level or equivalent
- Excellent problem solving methodology
- Excellent team player.
