    COMPANY
    My Client is a leading multi-national manufacturing organisation with a site in the North East just outside of Newcastle

    ROLE
    They are currently seeking to recruit a Vendor Scheduler who's broad purpose will be to purchase, plan and progress delivery of raw materials and/or finished products ensuring on time delivery to support organizations quality, service and inventory objectives.

    The main responsibilties of the position are:
    Managing Cost
    · Place purchase orders/shop orders and progress to receipt in line with agreed rules set by EPM for goods
    and freight.
    · Progress invoices and claims with suppliers/hauliers in line with agreed company procedures.
    Managing Delivery
    · Ensure paper shortage alerts responded to within 24 hrs of order entry
    · Receive and process customer order requirements
    · Provide accurate stock projections and inventory forecast
    · Effectively manage the closure of supplier claims
    · Effectively liase with suppliers and customers - internal and external
    · Ensure project launches managed effectively
    · Manage supplier delivery performance
    · Maintain inventory in line with business requirements
    · Maintain import information required by customs for managed suppliers
    · Manage supply chain for New Product Introductions and Product Phase Outs
    Managing Improvements
    · Contribute and participate in improvement activities
    Managing Information
    · Liase effectively with internal/external suppliers and customers
    · Prepare information for business reporting



    PERSON
    The suitable candidate will ideally display the following attributes:

    · Qualified to HNC level in appropriate discipline or
    · Experience of a high volume manufacturing environment
    · Supervisory skills
    · Organisational skills
    · Excellent working knowledge of MRPII / ERP systems
    · Works effectively as part of a team
    · Readily responds when required to perform tasks outside of core area of responsibility
    · Plans and organizes work effectively
