This is a temporary full-time role initially until the end of March, our client is looking for an experienced HR Officer to:
Effectively contribute to work of the Regional Management Team/Directorate management team by providing ongoing advice and support to Regional /Business Directors and Managers on a wide range of employment issues such as absence management, recruitment and selection, etc.
By leading discussions within the Regional/Directorate Management Team on how to cascade/communicate HR policies to all staff.
By collating and presenting key HR statistics/reports within the region/directorate, to identify trends and potential areas of concern.
By implementing HR Policies to ensure the fair and equal treatment of all staff.
By advising and answering queries on employment related issues such as payroll, contractual issues etc.
By maintaining a healthy and safe working environment and working practices in accordance with legislation and the organisations guidelines.
To co-ordinate recruitment and selection within the Region/Directorate:
By providing advice and support on the recruitment process.
By co-ordinating recruitment campaigns across the Region/Directorate, in liaison with the Head Office team.
By initiating and implementing the recruitment process in accordance with National Policy.
By approving the shortlist of candidates to interview - checking that the appropriate candidates have been selected.
By co-ordinating arrangements for interviews.
By co-ordinating arrangements with the Regional /HQ Learning and development Manager to organise appropriate induction programmes as appropriate.
By co-ordinating and progress chasing the formal appointment of staff.
To work collaboratively as part of the People Development Team:
Work with the Senior HR Manager on specific projects as required.
Work with the Recruitment & Administration team responsible for the Eastern Region and Headquarters Functions.
Attend national HR meetings as required.
