Job Description

A small but well-known hotel in the heart of Northumberland is looking to recruit a motivated and focused Junior Sous Chef.

This exquisite award winning country house hotel would like to appoint a committed and strong Junior Sous Chef. Enjoying an excellent reputation for first class cuisine, this stylish establishment offers both formal and informal dining. Working within the main kitchen you will solely be catering for the rosette accredited fine dining restaurant. Showing the right dedication and passion the successful candidate will thrive within an excellent kitchen environment. Flexibility is key to this position as is a desire to succeed in your chosen profession.

Assisting the senior chefs, you will be a competent individual with strong all round skills to work within any required section. Working with the finest fresh produce, it is essential that all applicants are experienced within similar quality establishment and are capable of confidently helping to lead and working within a team. Maintaining the established reputation and standards is paramount. Hard working and dedicated individuals need only apply!

Reporting to the Head Chef.

Previous Junior Sous/Chef de Partie experience in other quality Rosette accredited establishments. Must have NVQ level 1&2 or equivalent and a full understanding of food safety and hygiene. Applicants must be well presented and have a stable CV with good references.

All applicants must currently reside within the UK.

All applicants must be in line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Documented evidence of the eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.
