  • Full Description:

    • Produce accurate, timely reports and analyses for the Accountant and customers when required
    • Accurate, timely reports used to improve processes and performance. Weekly and period end as agreed.
    • Audit and analyse the performance of the team on a regular basis
    • Performance ’gaps’ are plugged immediately
    • Contribute as required to the definition of targets, service levels and standards
    • Agreed standards are met
    • Supports the wider programme team with data, changes to services and relationship management
    • Feedback from wider team members

    Supervise administrators on a day to day basis

    • Provide leadership, coaching and motivation to administrators, 1to1 and as a group ensuring they are aware of their own capabilities and contribution
    • Agreed service levels are met
    • Ensure performance reviews are undertaken
    • Ensure formal training is undertaken as well as providing technical assistance and ‘on the job’ coaching to administrators
    • Capability of administrators increased
    • Keep administrators informed of current plans, developments and performance against standards
    • Agreed service levels are met and administrators kept motivated
    • Ensure operational problems are resolved quickly
    • Minimal disruption to the team

    To ensure that the Finance functions effectively on a day to day basis

    • Schedule all daily tasks
    • Agreed service levels are met
    • Continually monitor and review all team activities against performance targets and service levels
    • Team achieves its full potential
    • Ensure team performance meets the agreed service levels and customer expectations
    • Customer Feedback – audited regularly
    • Support the Accountant with ad hoc tasks, reporting as requested
    • Manager satisfied with support
    • Awareness and experience of financial procedures to ensure processes and company policy guidelines are fully adhered to.
    • Agreed service levels are met
    • Financial, Planning, Resource, & People Responsibility
    • Full supervisory responsibility for a team of 4 staff
    • Responsible for all scheduling activity
    • Preparation of financial accounts
    • Depending on demand some out of hours/weekend working required

    Skills, Knowledge and Experience

    • Good all round financial experience as hands on approach necessary
    • Supervisory experience preferred
    • Detailed, technical knowledge of business area
    • Experience in using Financial packages
    • Coaching skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Capable of dealing with a number of issues, tasks and priorities concurrently
