A Sunderland based company working in the creative sector is looking for a Graphic Designer to join its existing team.

Essentially we are looking for a person who is not afraid to use their initiative and 'push the envelope’. This role will suit a keen and ambitious individual ideally with agency experience. You will have excellent communications skills, good presentation skills, a strong customer service ethos and excellent organisational skills. A fantastic job for the right candidate!

This position requires strong written and oral communication skills. Candidates should have excellent telephone etiquette skills, be detail oriented, have strong maths skills and have good problem solving skills. Must be a self-starter who is able to multi task, work under pressure and be able to meet deadlines. Must have good presentation skills and strong customer service skills.

You will have a minimum of 1 years experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop / Illustrator or InDesign). You will be able to work in a fast moving environment dealing with customers and tight deadlines. You will have to be confident and have an ability to take the 'rough' with the 'smooth'. You will be aware of modern standards for producing graphics for print as well as graphics for web.

My client works in Macromedia Freehand (but prefer those who have migrated to Adobe CS) and works with both MAC and PC (although MAC experience would be an advantage). Also having your own laptop is not essential but would be a benefit.

Working alongside the Director and Head Designer, you will:

- Manage the needs of clients (Job Specifications, pricing, deadlines);
- Achieve company and personal objectives;
- Grow the client base through prospecting and networking;
- Act as an effective interface between clients and external suppliers;
- Deliver high quality services and advice to clients.
- Manage Company Accounts and Client Invoicing
- Create Print and web ready artwork using Mac/PC Adobe software.

Hours initially: 9:00am- 1pm with a view to possible full time.

Rate of pay starts at £6.50 / £7 per hour for junior members -- rising to £8/£9/£10 per hour for more experienced or graduate workers. Pay rises to £12.50+ per hour for certain projects.
