    Job Summary:

    Based in County Durham, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager who is looking for a career opportunity to develop further as Head of Sales with an International Organisation. The remit is to develop UK and Export business within new market sectors for our Global manufacturing client who has a world wide turnover of approximately €2billion, about 20,000 employees and operating companies/sales offices in 37 countries. Products include Glass Processing, Electronic Packaging, Fibre Optics and Flat Panel Displays. Career opportunities are excellent.



    Main Tasks & Duties include:

     Producing a strategic sales plan for UK and Export Sales
     Full responsibility for delivering the sales plan to achieve targets
     Managing and developing a sales team including internal, external and export sales staff to achieve the overall business plan
     Personally developing major accounts and new business to achieve personal targets
     Market research and competitor analysis to identify new target markets
     Development of business relationships with Architects, designers and relevant contacts that are in a position to create and lead the market.
     Produce sales forecasts, business activity reports and sales figures as required..
     Investigate opportunities for products that have the same customers, the same distribution channels or the same processes as the existing business.
     Work and co-operate with colleagues at sister companies to benchmark and optimise practices and to be an active contributor to new product development
     Meet New Business Targets for New Product Introduction

    Essential Experience Required

     A successful track record in sales
     A successful track record of managing sales personnel
     Demonstrable track record of achieving target
     A consultative sales background
     A technical aptitude and credibility within a technical arena
     Knowledge of export sales/markets
