Mercado - Sales Representatives & Sales Apprenticeships
The Mercado Group based in Leeds is the country’s leading Distributor of Floor covering in the UK. Our customers are Independent Retailers and Contractors located throughout the country on established Sales Areas.
We currently have vacancies for Sales Representatives located around the country & places within our training program to develop the Sales Representatives of tomorrow. Trainees based at one of our depots should have a view to relocating if a vacancy arises.
Our training program includes
o Time spent internally developing customer facing skills, order processing, working on the Trade Counter and exposure to all aspects of the business both at Leeds and our bases in Chelmsford, Bristol, Southampton or Newcastle.
o Merchandising activity in the field.
o Accompanied working with existing representatives in the field
Successful Candidates will have the following qualities
o Educated to GCSE standard as a minimum, A level or Degree qualifications will be an advantage but a good work ethic and common sense are more important!
o The ability to communicate with customers & colleagues at all levels
o To Learn Sales techniques and adapt them to their own personality.
o A desire to succeed in Sales and Career aspirations.
o A disciplined approach that will allow them to work unsupervised.
Knowledge of floor covering is not essential for either position but would be an advantage for candidates looking to take a current Representative Vacancy.
Our Salary package includes starting salaries for trainees of circa £18k (subject to status) and OTE earnings for Representatives of over £35k plus Car, Bupa & pension benefits.
