My client requires a senior sales representative to plan and carry out direct sales activities to maintain and grow sales of used plant and equipment to a range of clients
MUST HAVE SOME CHEMICAL BACKGROUND (PLANT/ENGINEERING/PROCESS/ETC)
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by telephone, post and personal visits, to include identification of equipment, providing additional information to the customer as required and in agreeing price/delivery details.
* Plan and prioritise personal sales activities to manage personal time and productivity to meet business goals.
· Develop new sales opportunities through proactive contact with engineering and manufacturing companies - communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods for the development of profitable business.
Self-driven, focused, results driven with a positive outlook with a clear focus on growing sales. Comfortable in dealing with sales enquiries by telephone or in person. Reliable, tolerant and determined. Well presented and businesslike. Sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel up to a few days per month as required, mainly in the UK. Able to work with others and be a team player.
Must be able to develop quotations and proposals. Must have a clean or near clean driving license.
Ideal background would be in selling, particularly plant and equipment or other technical items.
Understands and experience in sales.
Knowledge of process plant and equipment "Desirable"
Good communicator and negotiation skills.
Be able to use MS office, including Excel and Word.
